The roundtable discussion titled “ASEAN-Bangladesh Relationship: A Way Forward”, organised by the Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies (BIISS) in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, explored how Bangladesh could strengthen its engagement with ASEAN. Policymakers, diplomats, academics, and experts highlighted Bangladesh’s strategic geographical position as a bridge between South and Southeast Asia and its growing economic significance. The dialogue emphasized trade, investment, connectivity, labour migration, and digital cooperation as key areas for collaboration. With Bangladesh aspiring to become an ASEAN Sectoral Dialogue Partner, the event identified opportunities, challenges, and a roadmap for deeper regional integration and mutual prosperity.
